The PZ620T-MF143 is an upright polarized-light microscope with transmitted and reflected light, and infinity-corrected, stress-free optics. Episcopic and sub-stage polarizers offer polarization of both light-sources, allowing this microscope to be used for metallurgical, mineralogical, and biological applications. The quintuple nosepiece with centerable ports can hold five of the seven included plan-achromatic objective lenses, which can be alternated depending on the application. The addition of a Bertrand lens allows easy viewing of conoscopic interference patterns. The analyzer features a full-range dial for adjustable cross-polarization. An assortment of retardation plates are included to further aid in analysis.
The graduated, circular stage provides 360°., of rotation for birefingence-testing, as well as a mechanical caliper for X-Y translation.
The ultra-sensitive 1.4MP monochrome CCD digital camera provides a temperature-controlled, low-light imaging solution, ideal for fluorescence microscopy. The large, highly-sensitive (2000mV/µ.,m2) CCD sensor produces low-noise images, thanks in-part to a controllable internal cooling unit. The camera captures still images and video, and allows you to view a live stream on your PC. Because of the CCD's "global shutter" design, it eliminates rolling-shutter artifacts. With software available for Windows, Mac, and Linux, it's a multi-platform imaging solution. The included Windows software offers image-development and measurement tools, as well as advanced compositing features such as image-stitching and extended-depth-of-focus. Independent preview and capture resolutions allow you to view high-speed video while capturing high-definition images. For Mac and Linux, there is a lite version with limited processing features.
