The H756 line of C-Mount lenses is designed specifically for photomicrography, providing 0.35X-5.6X zoom magnification for use with professional microscope cameras. The lens can be mounted to any of a wide variety of C-Mount cameras including computer-driven USB cameras and stand-alone HDMI models. The lens can be used with a range of support systems from simple table stands to boom and articulating-arm supports, making this a truly versatile solution.
Single Lens vs Stereo
While stereo microscopes view subjects with three-dimensional depth for applications such as micro-soldering and dissection, the stereo lens design is not optimal for producing accurate photos or videos due to off-axis, angular distortion, and keystone. Using a single lens allows you to view subjects on a single axis to achieve focus across the entire field without angular distortion. This makes the single lens ideal for video monitoring systems and photomicrography. By providing a similar magnification range as stereo microscopes, the single-lens solution can easily fit into similar workflows.
Modular Optics
The amazing utility of this microscope begins with its optics. At its core is a 0.7X-5.6X optical zoom. This allows you to quickly adjust the level of detail as needed. This model's zoom ring has a detent to easily locate key magnifications which can be especially useful recording measurements or following redundant procedures on a production or QC line.
Out of the box, the H756TD-C150 provides 0.7X-5.6X optical magnification using the 1X objective lens. This version also includes a 0.5X objective lens for 0.35X-2.8X magnification with increased field-of-view and working distance.
C-Mount Interface
The H756 uses a C-Mount interface to attach to professional microscopy cameras. This includes an extensive range of USB, HDMI, and wi-fi models. This H756TD-C150 lens has a 1.5X integrated compensating lens configured to work with larger image sensors including 1" format, optimizing the field of view, and avoiding any vignetting. It also works with smaller sensor formats, making is more universally compatible.
Illumination
An LED ring light is included to provide cool, even illumination. With the illuminator attached to the lens, the light will always be where you need it. 60 individual LEDs blanket the subject with light, daylight-balanced at 6500K for ideal imaging. Brightness can be controlled using the wired controller.
Table Stand
This package includes a table stand to provide fundamental support and focusing ability. The lens mounts to a basic focusing block designed specifically for the lens' smaller diameter. An 11" pillar provides ample latitude and rotation while the focusing block offers symmetrical, tension-adjustable coarse focus knobs with 43mm travel. A large base provides plenty of stability along with a sturdy, metal working surface.
Monitor and capture photos and videos with the included 10.0MP USB 2.0 camera. The C-mount camera is specially designed for use with microscopes, allowing you to watch live images, and to record photos or videos on your computer. This ability to view microscopic images on your computer reduces eye strain, and allows groups of people to view images at the same time. A 0.5X reduction lens is included for use with 23mm-30.5mm ports to capture more of the microscope's field of view. Professional software for Windows provides a wide assortment of capture and photo-editing functions including color correction, time-lapse capture, image stitching, and a full complement of measuring tools. There is a lite version of software for Mac and Linux with essential functionality for capturing photos and videos.
