This is a feature-packed, economical metallurgical microscope with an upright design, and both trasmitted and incident illumination. The episcopic illuminator includes removable polarizer and analyzer, as well as adjustable field and aperture diaphragms. The plan-achromatic optical system offers sharp, flat-field images with excellent color-correction. The Siedentopf head with dual diopters and high-eyepoint eyepieces provides a comfortable and adjustable viewing platform. There is also a dedicated photo port for simultaneous viewing and imaging.
Change magnifications quickly using the objective turret without significant refocusing thanks to the parfocal design. Using the included 10X and 25X eyepieces and a combination of metallurgical and biological objective lenses, the magnification range spans from 40X to 1250X with nine unique settings. The lenses are achromatically corrected for improved resolution, and flat-field corrected to ensure edge-to-edge sharpness.
Digital Imaging
Monitor and capture photos and videos with the included 3.0MP USB2.0 camera. The C-mount camera is specially designed for use with microscopes, allowing you to watch live images, and to record photos or videos on your computer. This ability to view microscopic images on your computer reduces eye-strain, and allows groups of people to view images at the same time. A 0.5X reduction lens is included for use with 23mm-30.5mm ports to capture more of the microscope's field-of-view. AmScope professional software for Windows provides a wide assortment of capture and photo-editing functions including color correction, time-lapse capture, image stitching, and a full complement of measuring tools. A lite version of AmScope software is comes for Mac and Linux with essential functionality for capturing photos and videos.
