This is an 8X-80X Common Main Objective (CMO) trinocular stereo microscope with dual illumination. The parallel optical paths, and single main objective of the CMO design eliminate the keystone distortion found in non-CMO microscopes, making this a very precise instrument, especially for photo-imaging applications. As well, the main objective is interchangeable, and can be easily switched. A side-mounted photo-port with 0.5 C-mount adapter allows the addition of an imaging system. The angle-adjustable optical ports allow for ergonomic height-customization for standing or seated positions.
The digital camera captures still images and video, and allows you to view a live stream on your PC. With software available for Windows, Mac, and Linux, it's a multi-platform imaging solution. The included Windows software offers image-development and measurement tools, as well as advanced compositing features such as image-stitching and extended-depth-of-focus. Independent preview and capture resolutions allow you to view high-speed video while capturing high-definition images. For Mac and Linux, there is a lite version with limited processing features.
