Form and function come together in this stylish mid-size stereo microscope which brings alevel of comfort and portability. Thanks to the high-grade, energy-efficient LED illumination system, the microscope is able operate on its integrated battery when AC power is not available. The rechargeable battery provides power for top or bottom lighting, making this suitable for biological and industrial applications. The rotating stereo objectives provide two levels of fixed-power magnification for superior clarity and consistency. Interchangeable eyepieces allow you to easily expand the magnification range for varied uses.
Viewing Head
The microscope's head uses compensation-free binocular adjustment to properly align with any user's eyes. Each ocular tube is equipped with a diopter to compensate for astigmatism or to fine-tune focus when using a camera. The oculars are inclined at 45° for using while seated or standing.
Optics
Two pairs of objective lenses provide 10X and 30X stereo magnification when used with the included 10X eyepieces. This range is intended for common soldering and mechanical repair, and inspecting larger objects. The objective magnification can be changed by simply rotating the nosecone to switch lenses. The viewing head uses 30.5mm ocular tubes to provide an extra-large field-of-view. One ocular tube has an integrated dioptric adjuster for users with astigmatism, or to fine-tune focus when using a camera in place of the eyepiece. The head can be adjusted for any user using rotating binocular adjustment to guarantee proper alignment with the eyes. Various eyepieces are available to expand the magnification range.
Support & Illumination
The microscope's stand uses a rack-and-pinion focusing track for precision adjustments and consistent alignment. A conveniently-placed handle makes the instrument easy to carry when travelling, working in the field, or simply putting it away when the day is done. Integrated LED illumination can be used for reflected top-lighting when viewing opaque objects, or transmitted bottom-lighting when viewing translucent objects. This allows the instrument to excel in biological applications including dissection, as well as industrial applications like QC, soldering and mechanical repair.
