The SM-3T is a heavy-duty, highly-flexible microscope designed for biological and industrial applications. This trinocular model has an additional port for mounting a camera, so you can record video or photos without replacing an eyepiece.
Optics
The stereo optics provide clear, sharp images with excellent focus-depth and a large working-distance. With 0.7X-4.5X zoom objectives, moving through the magnification range is as easy as turning a knob. 10X wide-field eyepieces provide an ample magnification range from 7X to 45X, with high-eyepoint optics to accommodate glasses or goggles. A 0.5X Barlow lens is included, which can be mounted to the objective housing to halve the magnification range to 3.5X-22.5X. This also increases the working distance. The combined magnification ranges provide 3.5X-45X.
Ocular Adjustment
Dual ocular diopters can be adjusted to maintain consistent focus, greatly improving productivity. Rotating interpupillary adjusters simplify the process of aligning the eyepieces for each user.
Trinocular Port
The switched trinocular photo-port provides a dedicated mount for a camera. When the photo-port is switched open, all light from the left objective is diverted to the port to provide maximum brightness for the camera to guarantee the best quality images.
Single-Arm Boom-Stand
The multi-pivoting stand provides a stable, flexible support system, ideal for hands-on work. The single-arm design provides heavy-duty support in a simple form. The head can be turned 360°, the focus-block can swing in either direction, and the lateral arm can rotate and swing to position the head at virtually any angle. The heavy, steel base ensures the stability of the microscope, even when laden with attachments.
Digital Imaging
This microscope comes with a cutting-edge auto-focus camera designed specifically for microscopy. It offers 1080p live-viewing over HDMI, and can record 5MP photos and video directly to Secure Digital media. The internal software provides control over exposure and color, and tools for measurements and comparisons. The addition of auto-focus limits the need to make focus-adjustments when using the camera as the primary means of observation.
Connected to an HDMI monitor or TV, 1080p live video can be viewed at a super-smooth 60fps. The included USB mouse allows you to control the camera through its easy-to-use interface. As an alternative solution, connect to the camera over WiFi for remote software control, with 25fps streaming. The included Windows software offers image-development and measurement tools, as well as advanced compositing features such as image-stitching and extended-depth-of-focus. With the ability to calibrate scales at multiple magnifications, the software can be used for multi-level inspection. For Mac and Linux, there is a lite version of the software which can capture video and still images, and includes limited processing features.

This package includes a powerful 150W illuminator with a ring-light and dual fiber-optic goosenecks. The incandescent light-source projects ultra-bright, full-spectrum light which is channeled through either of the included fiber-optic attachments. The dual 22" gooseneck light-guides allow you to use two sources of direct lighting from virtually any angle. The 35" ring-light attachment provides the smoothest ring of encompassing overhead illumination when attached to the microscope's objective housing. The flexible, heavy-duty metal-sheathed guides will hold up to heavy use in your workshop, factory, or lab without worry of crimping or breaking. The light-source is equipped with an active cooling system and an auto-shutoff circuit to avoid overheating in strenuous environments.
