Designed for doctors and lab technicians, the T740 provides alevel of sophistication to medical microscopy. Building ontime-tested ergonomic form, added alighting system with the ability to remember your preferred intensity levels at each magnification. As you move between magnifications, illumination will automatically adjust for you. The color-adjustable LED illuminator also provides the ability to adjust color-temperature from a warm 3000K to daylight-balanced 5600K. While the cooler light renders colors more naturally, the warmer setting will reduce eye-strain during long periods of observation.
The viewing head provides a number of technical and comfort features. The Siedentopf binocular adjustment allows you to easily customize the ocular width for proper viewing. The 30°, incline sets the eyepieces at a comfortable angle to reduce neck strain, and the head can be swiveled to accommodate different orientations. The ultra-widefield oculars provide a wider field-of-view to see more specimen. The focusable high-eyepoint eyepieces can be used while wearing glasses or goggles, and have planatic field correction to maintain image flatness.
The trinocular head features a top-mounted photo port with a C-mount interface for attaching cameras without the need for intermediary lenses. It's height-adjustable to match focus with the eyepieces, so photos can be taken concurrent to viewing without the need to refocus. The port is compatible withCX series C-mount ports which are available with different levels of magnification for cameras with different sensor formats. An optional 23mm port adapter is available for use with 23mm reduction lenses.
The infinity-corrected optical system eliminates optical errors when using filters and other in-line components, ensuring highly precise images. The quintuple objective turret provides instant access to 5 magnification levels to easily focus in on minute details from 40X to 1000X. This model has the unique ability to remember illumination settings for each magnification, making repetitive work more efficient. The turret's reversed orientation provides more working room above the stage. These high-quality lenses are achromatically corrected to improve resolution and color accuracy, with planatic flat-field correction to provide edge-to-edge sharpness.
The 2-layer mechanical stage provides smooth and precise movement for examination of specimen slides, with a large translation range for viewing larger samples. The slide caliper has been extended to hold two slides for quick comparisons or extra-large samples. Its rackless design eliminates exposed gearing. The stage's low-position controls are conveniently placed near the coaxial focus knobs for a streamlined workflow. Examining specimen slides is intuitive and precise for users at any skill level. Symmetrical focus controls are coaxially mounted for fast, intuitive focusing. Tension control lets you customize the feel to further enhance your workflow.
The unique illumination system was designed with doctors and lab technicians in mind. A powerful 3W LED illuminator provides bright illumination, and has the ability to fine-tune the color-temperature. The lighting can be adjusted from a warm 3000K to daylight-balanced 5600K. While the higher Kelvin may produce more natural colors, the warmer setting will reduce eye strain for long-term viewing. Furthermore, the microscope has a memory feature which resets the brightness at each magnification to the previous level. Now whenever you move through magnifications, the microscope will remember how much light to use.
The illumination system follows Koehler guidelines, with evenly distributed light, a centerable condenser, and control over the field-lens aperture. The field lens assembly ensures full, even coverage over the field-of-view, and uses an iris diaphragm to reduce edge-bleed. The high-NA Abbe condenser has markings for ideal settings at each magnification, and can be centered to properly align the focused light.
