The larger heavy-duty frame provides stability along with precision mechanics. The infinity-corrected, plan-achromatic optics provide high-resolution images with edge-to-edge sharpness, and optional apochromatic and semi-apochromatic objectives are available for improved resolution and transmittance. The Koehler illumination system is designed for precision, with a variable-NA swing-condenser allowing the use of high and low magnifications with full, even coverage. A range of optional accessories are available to expand functionality such as phase-contrast and darkfield.
The microscope's head is designed for precision and comfort. The super-widefield optics provide a larger field-of-view so you can see more specimen at any magnification. Compensation-free Siedentopf interpupillary adjustment allows any user to properly align the oculars without readjusting focus. For users with astigmatism or asymmetrical vision, the left ocular can be adjusted to fine-tune focus. The photo port is equipped with a C-mount interface for attaching cameras without intermediary lenses, and is height-adjustable to match focus with the eyepieces. The port is compatible withCX series C-mount ports which are available with different levels of magnification for cameras with different sensor formats.
