The T800M is a robust, high-performance metallurgical microscope with precision optics for professionals metallurgical and materials fields. The larger heavy-duty frame provides stability along with precision mechanics. The infinity-corrected plan-semi-apochromatic optics provide high-resolution images with improved color-correction and edge-to-edge sharpness. The Koehler transmitted and reflected-light illumination systems are designed for precision, with a variable-NA swing-condenser allowing the use of high and low magnifications with full, even coverage.
The microscope's head is designed for precision and comfort. The super-widefield optics provide a larger field-of-view so you can see more specimen at any magnification. Compensation-free Siedentopf interpupillary adjustment allows any user to properly align the oculars without readjusting focus. For users with astigmatism or asymmetrical vision, the left ocular can be adjusted to fine-tune focus. The photo port is equipped with a C-mount interface for attaching cameras without intermediary lenses, and is height-adjustable to match focus with the eyepieces.
The infinity-corrected optical system eliminates optical errors when using filters and other in-line components, ensuring highly precise images. The quintuple objective turret provides instant access to 4 magnification levels with an open port for one additional lens. This allows you to efficiently move through magnifications from 50X to 500X. The turret's reversed orientation provides more working room above the stage. These high-quality lenses are semi-apochromatically corrected for superior resolution and color accuracy, with planatic flat-field correction to provide edge-to-edge sharpness.
The 3-layer mechanical stage provides smooth and precise movement for examination of specimens, with a large translation range for viewing larger samples. A glass stage-insert provides a charge-neutral surface for examining electonics and other sensitive materials. Built on Koehler illumination principals, the sub-stage lighting provides evenly-distributed light for optimal contrast. The rear-mounted 5W LED light-source provides energy-efficient illumination with low heat. The super-bright light-source uses a lower color temperature for warmer colors to enhance details and reduce eye-strain. An iris diaphragm allows you to adjust the aperture to optimize contrast and depth-of-field. The condenser holder uses rack-and-pinion height adjustment for precision control, and is centerable for proper alignment.
The condenser is top-mounted for easier replacement when working with additional condensers. The illuminator's field lens provides an iris diaphragm to control light-spread, optimizing contrast and definition in specimen features.
