The AL-DM756 series lenses are designed specifically for DM756 digital microscopes. The modular design of the microscope allows for various objective lenses to be used to suit changing magnification requirements. Lower magnifications will benefit larger subjects, which require a greater field-of-view, while higher magnifications provide improved detail of smaller subjects. While the microscope's standard 0.7X-5.6X magnification range is optimal for covering common use-cases, these lenses offer the flexibility to expand the coverage when needed.

The AL150-DM756 lens attaches to the microscope to modify its built-in zoom magnification by a factor of 1.5X. This means the optical magnification range becomes 1.05X-7.5X. This increase in magnification offers improved detail with a minimal decrease in working distance from the standard 80mm to 51.5mm.
