The B400 is a professional compound microscope designed for general biological in a professional setting or a classroom. Its high quality optics and precision mechanics have made this model a favorite for veterinarians and clinics. It has a large compliment of optional accessories for darkfield and phase-contrast.
The binocular head can be customized for each user, with a sliding interpupillary adjuster for varying eye spacing, and diopters for both eyes to fine-tune focus for nearsighted users and for asymmetry. The head can be rotated 360°, and has a 45° incline for viewing while seated or standing. Interchangeable eyepieces allow for an expanded magnification range, or the use of special eyepieces with pointers and measuring reticles.
The objective turret provides instant access to 4 magnification levels to easily focus in on minute details from 40X to 1000X. Additional 16X eyepieces expand the maximum magnification to 1600X with 8 unique levels. This covers magnifications needed for studying hair follicles, cells, and bacteria.
