The D500 is a specialized version of AmScope B390 biological compound microscope, equipped with five binocular heads for up to five simultaneous users. All heads offer binocular viewing with independent adjustments. In school, up to five lab partners can work together, while in a professional environment, colleagues can consult on pathological examinations among other things. With high quality optics and precision mechanics, this model is an easy choice for medical labs and schools.
The binocular heads can be customized for each user, with sliding interpupillary adjusters for varying eye spacing, and diopters for both eyes to fine-tune focus for nearsighted users and for asymmetry. The heads are mounted to a large framework which requires a large working surface. The ocular tubes are set at a 45° incline for viewing while seated or standing. Interchangeable eyepieces allow for an expanded magnification range, or the use of special eyepieces with pointers and measuring reticles.
The objective turret provides instant access to 4 magnification levels to easily focus in on minute details from 40X to 1000X. Additional 20X eyepieces expand the maximum magnification to 2000X with 8 unique levels. This covers magnifications needed for studying hair follicles, cells, and bacteria. These high-quality lenses are achromatically corrected to improve resolution and color accuracy.
