The H800 is designed specifically for photomicrography, providing 0.7X-5X zoom magnification and a C-mount interface for most professional microscope cameras. While stereo microscopes are the preferred choice for low-magnification work like micro-soldering and dissection, the stereo lens design is not optimal for producing accurate photos or videos due to off-axis, angular distortion and keystoning. This single-lens microscope provides the same magnification range, but without the distortion.
The 0.7X-5X zoom objective lens produces exceptionally sharp images throughout the entire range. The C-mount camera interface is height-adjustable, allowing precise parfocal adjustments to keep the lens in focus throughout the zoom range. The microscope has an integrated 0.4X reduction element optimized for cameras using 1/2" format sensors, providing more field-of-view.
An optional adapter is available (AD-C23) to convert the C-mount interface into a 30mm or 23mm tube which can be used with eyepieces or camera reduction lenses. If you choose to use this microscope with an eyepiece or one of 23mm DSLR adapters, this optional adapter is exactly what you would need.
The multi-pivoting, double-arm stand provides a stable, flexible support system, ideal for hands-on work. Use of a drop-down column allows the microscope lens to be positioned at virtually any angle. Ball-bearings provide smooth movement of the lateral arms, which can easily pivot the microscope out of the way when it is not needed. The heavy, steel base ensures the stability of the microscope, even when laden with attachments.
This model includes a 96-LED ring-light to provide bright, even lighting. Mounted on the microscope, the light follows the lens so the subject is always illuminated. The light intensity is controlled by a wired, remote power module which keeps control at your fingertips.
This microscope comes with an HDMI-capable digital camera, delivering 1080p video up to 60fps, and 2MP still images, even in low light. The highly-sensitive digital sensor makes this camera ideal for low-light applications, including darkfield and fluorescence. Able to be used as a standalone recording device using Secure Digital memory, or as a wi-fi camera on a networked computer, this is an extremely flexible imaging solution.
Connected to an HDMI monitor or TV, 1080p live video can be viewed at a super-smooth 60fps. The included USB mouse allows you to make adjustments in the internal software for settings such as white-balance and exposure, and control recording functions. As an alternative solution, connect to the camera over WiFi for remote software control, with 25fps streaming. The included Windows software offers image-development and measurement tools, as well as advanced compositing features such as image-stitching and extended-depth-of-focus. With the ability to calibrate scales at multiple magnifications, the software can be used for multi-level inspection. For Mac and Linux, there is a lite version of the software which can capture video and still images, and includes limited processing features.
