This is a great turnkey package for an articulating pillar arm stereo microscope with a fiber optic ring illuminator and a digital camera. It includes one 3.5X-180X trinocular zoom microscope, an articulating pillar arm, a 150 Watt fiber optic ring light and a USB digital camera. Offering sharp and crystal clear images, this unit is a perfect stereo microscopy system for multiple applications. With 30mm super widefield, high-eyepoint optics, it provides a very large zoom magnification range (52:1) and a large working distance (8", 200mm). The articulating arm provides great flexibility with its vertical pillar and the clamp. The fiber optic ring illuminator provides bright, even and cool illumination. It has a 35" (890mm) long metal-sheathed fiber optic light cable and a top-open-window design which is convenient for changing bulbs. It has an auto-shut-off mechanism that will cut off electricity automatically while the window is open.
The digital camera captures still images and video, and allows you to view a live stream on your PC. With software available for Windows, Mac, and Linux, it's a multi-platform imaging solution. The included Windows software offers image-development and measurement tools, as well as advanced compositing features such as image-stitching and extended-depth-of-focus. Independent preview and capture resolutions allow you to view high-speed video while capturing high-definition images. For Mac and Linux, there is a lite version with limited processing features.
