This is an upgraded version of the T670Q-PL, which includes two additional specialized light-condensers for darkfield illumination. This model is designed to be a fully-scalable and economical laboratory microscope with additional upgrade options for phase-contrast and fluorescence. Its infinity-corrected optical system ensures reliable, low-distortion magnification, with plan-achromatic corrections for accurate colors, excellent field flatness and edge-to-edge sharpness. A quintuple lens-turret is used, providing five levels of magnification. The Koehler-design LED illumination system provides bright, evenly-distributed light for maximum contrast and definition.
The microscope's head is designed for precision and comfort. The super-widefield optics provide a larger field-of-view so you can see more specimen at any magnification. Compensation-free Siedentopf interpupillary adjustment allows any user to properly align the oculars without readjusting focus. for users with astigmatism or asymmetrical vision, both eyepieces can be independently adjusted to fine-tune focus. The switched trinocular port provides a dedicated mount for a camera to record photos or videos, and is height-adjustable to match focus with the eyepieces. The port uses the 23mm YX-type interchangeable interface which can be replaced with an optional C-mount adapter.
The quintuple objective turret provides instant access to 5 magnification levels to easily focus in on minute details from 40X to 1000X. This covers magnifications needed for studying hair follicles, cells, soil, and bacteria. The turret's reversed orientation provides more working room above the stage. These high-quality lenses are achromatically corrected to improve resolution and color accuracy, with planatic flat-field correction to provide edge-to-edge sharpness.
The 2-layer mechanical stage provides smooth and precise movement for examination of specimen slides. The stage's low-position controls are conveniently placed near the coaxial focus knobs for a streamlined workflow. Examining specimen slides is intuitive and precise for users at any skill level.
Built on Koehler illumination principals, the sub-stage lighting provides evenly-distributed light for optimal contrast. The LED light-source ensures cool, energy-efficient illumination with low heat for live specimens. The bright light-source is daylight-balanced to produce natural colors for imaging. The Abbe light condenser has a high 1.25 numerical aperture for oil-immersion, and an iris diaphragm to optimize contrast and depth-of-field. The condenser holder uses rack-and-pinion height adjustment for precision control, and is centerable for proper alignment. The illuminator's field lens provides an iris diaphragm to control light-spread, optimizing contrast and definition in specimen features.
Darkfield illumination provides contrast for viewing certain specimens which present little to no detail, such as live blood cells. This microscope includes two specialized condensers which create oblique lighting to highlight disparate substances. One condenser is for lower magnifications, and require no immersion oil. for applications that frequently use objective magnifications of 40X or less, this is the best option. When higher magnifications are needed, the oil-immersion condenser would be used, supporting lenses from 20X to 100X.
Monitor and capture photos and videos with the included 2MP USB3.0 camera. with extraordinary sensitivity and a maximum framerate of 125fps, the MU203-BI provides high-definition imaging for low-light applications, including fluorescence and darkfield. Using a cutting-edge 2MP back-illuminated CMOS sensor with an incredible 2350mV sensitivity (1/30s), high gain-levels can be used for highly-responsive realtime video. A 0.37X reduction lens is included to capture more of the microscope's field-of-view. The professional software for Windows provides a wide assortment of capture and photo-editing functions including color correction, time-lapse capture, image stitching, and a full complement of measuring tools. A lite version of the software is for Mac and Linux with essential functionality for capturing photos and videos.
